Current Petitions

     There are currently two change.org petitions to save and protect the golden-capped fruit bat. One was started by Friends of the Flying Foxes and it currently has 14,406 signatures. It is specifically looking at the island of Boracay and wants to encourage the government to help save the golden-capped fruit bat. You can sign the petition by visiting the following link:

     The other petition was started by a group of students at the University of the Philippines in the Visayas for an environmental science project. It will be sent to the World Wildlife Fund Philippines and it currently has 949 signatures. It wants to encourage more research and surveys to be conducted on the golden-capped fruit bat.      Another petition is demanding an end to the expansion of the palm oil industry in the Philippines. It cites the negative impacts that have already been experienced by the indigenous people in the Filipinos and also the negative impact on the environment. It is a petition on a rainforest conservation website and it will be sent to the president of the Philippines. It currently has 170,530 signatures, and you can make your voice heard by signing it too. The petition can be found at:
